Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?

Speech-Language Communications, LLC is an out-of-network provider for all insurance companies. We do not contract or submit any information to insurance companies; however we can provide invoices with proper diagnostic codes and treatments codes when applicable.  Families can then submit student evaluations and proper paperwork for out-of-network benefits.

Do you have an office?

NO! At Speech-Language Communications we want to make it as convenient as possible for the parents and children. We believe that services should be provided where the child is most comfortable and in their typical learning environment.  We offer services at your child’s school either during the day or after school. We also travel to your home during the day or after school as well. We provide services 12 months a year and do not take off during the summer.

How long are the sessions each week and what are the costs?

We offer 45 minute or 60 minute sessions, and on occasion, 30 minute sessions.  We often spend the last 5 minutes of each session either collaborating with the parents or teachers at the child’s school. Once you are connected with a speech-language pathologist, your child will have a set weekly session. You will be billed monthly for the sessions.  Please contact Heather at 314-306-4643 for rates.

What is your cancellation policy?

Our policy asks for a notice of 24 hours if you need to cancel your session; however we understand when children wake up sick. We ask that you contact your SLP as soon as you know your child will miss their session. Please note that schools do not notify us when students are absent. We ask that you contact us directly.
